Functional Summary of Experience Koos Herselman is a qualified and experienced counsellor registered with the SA Council of Councellors, Trauma Defuser, Stress Management Coach and Trainer. He has rendered services, as a trauma counsellor, to TraumAssist SA since 2006. In addition to this he has attended to a number of private trauma cases and rendered counselling services to Excalmed, a medical response company. His case load has included rape cases, bank robberies, attempted suicides, hijackings, spousal abuse, financial loss and bereavement counselling. He has also done trauma counselling, life coaching and stress management coaching for many private companies including the following: •BetonLab, one of the largest private concrete testing facilities in South Africa •Cemlock, one of the largest cement blending companies in South Africa •Stanlib, a large national investment company •Acutts Real Estate •Merck Pharmaceuticals •SA Rebar As a trainer and workshop facilitator he has presented training workshops on “Handling Trauma in the Workplace”, “Managing Stress in the Workplace” and “Improving Customer Service”. These workshops have been presented in numerous companies including BetonLab, Cemlock, Acutts Real Estate, Stanlib and SA Rebar.He has also run numerous stress management workshops for private individuals. Koos was invited by Rotary South Africa to present talks on trauma and dealing with personal trauma. He was also invited by “Successful Women in Business”, a networking group for business women, to address them on the same topic. He has been contracted by Siyakha Consultin to give talks on stress management to their clients, SA Taxi Finance Corporation and Sail. |
